I wrote this story for a writing class taught by a famous science fiction author (via Zoom). I read the story, and he didn't like it. He said it didn't need the comic book stuff, and before he could go on every woman in the class was waving her arms and shaking her head, and finally one unmuted herself to strongly disagree with him. She pointed out that well-liked powerful men, such as a friendly policeman, can often get away with this, and it's important to be aware of this behavior.
